Couple 2: Sharmilla and Lucians Solomon

About 20 years ago, I was joined by a few school friends for a social "get together " at Newlands Forrest.

To my surprise there was a beautiful enchanting young lady that was accompanying one of them. Closest friend at the time. The first time I laid eyes on her, I was instantly attracted to her beauty was only "surpassed" by her wonderful, warm, kind caring nature and personality.

I thought that the guy she was with, was the luckiest guy in the world and thought to myself that, she is the kind of girl that I could have as a soulmate. I never saw her again. Years later .as luck would have it.

I spotted her in a crowd of shoppers at Edgars. The conversation was in the line of" Hi I know you from somewhere..."To which the response was" Oh ...I remember you. The guy that swore such a lot and with a big axe in his bag" And so the "wooing and courting began, and she fell in love with me.

After a long courtship. We got married on the 24th September 2004 and are blessed with two beautiful children. This to me, reminds me of a fairytale. The story would goes like this.

Once upon a time, they lived a beautiful princess in a land far, far away. One day a princess was attacked by wolves while taking a walk in the Forrest. Luckily, a fairly handsome woodcutter heard the commotion and scared the wolves away.

The princess and the woodcutter fell in love and was soon married. They lived happily ever after. So, to you Sharmila Solomon I say: Life is not a fairytale and there will be some downs and up and wolves along the way BUTI will always try and be your woodcutter. So will you do me the honor of been the keeper of my age for the rest of my life.

The end of the speech. I have attached a pic of the axe. The reason I would love to win this special experience is. Last year was our 20th wedding anniversary and but couldn't celebrate it because I had a shoulder operation I was still in recovery. I thought this would be a great opportunity to enter and with much luck I will win this awesome romantic experience with my husband. "Our 20th wedding anniversary getaway"
