Lorraine Moropa is ready to captivate audiences in her latest role as Letsatsi, a woman of faith and patience, in "Not My Type", set to premiere on Showmax this Valentine’s Day.

The actor, known for her stellar performances as Kwaito legend Mandoza's wife in "Nkalakatha: The Life of Mandoza" and in "The Dock", recently shared her excitement for the upcoming romantic drama on Instagram.

In a post that has quickly garnered attention, Moropa introduced her character, Letsatsi, to her followers with the caption: "NEW ROLE ALERT, I introduce to you Letsatsi O; Our very own Church Baddie E, coming to your screens this Valentine's Day."

The actor went on to express her deep gratitude for the role, which she credits to God’s grace and provision.

"I’m completely overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, thinking about the incredible journey that brought us to this moment," she wrote, sharing her heartfelt thanks to the team behind the film.

Moropa's candidness about her faith and the importance of this role is evident in her words.

"Thank you, God, for trusting me with this role and for surrounding with me with such a talented and dedicated team," she continued.

She also took the opportunity to thank her fiancé, Tyler ICU, for his constant support throughout the process, from castings to wrapping up the shoot.

"A couple that rehearses scripts and lines together stays together!!!"

The film, which explores the complexities of love and faith, follows Letsatsi, a woman who designs wedding dresses while waiting for the "perfect man" God has in store for her.

In an exclusive interview with Showmax, Moropa shared why the role resonated with her personally.

"What drew me to portraying the character of Letsatsi is her quest and arduous search of becoming," Moropa explained.

"She is in pursuit of evolving and knows that marriage is God’s idea. To portray a character of that nature is a blessing because I get to use this opportunity I’ve been graced with – my gifts and talents – to educate my peers and audiences, who too may be in pursuits of finding love, self-discovering and growing.”

Moropa also spoke about her personal connection to the character’s journey of patience and waiting for God's timing.

"I’m a believer and waiting on God requires patience. This resonated with me because I have been in instances where I had to wait on God in order to move," she said.

"In my journey, I got to learn that patience is in actual fact one of the fruits of the spirit, as indicated by God Himself. So it is not only ideal to but it is a requirement to wait on God for a perfect anything."

As the Valentine’s Day premiere approaches, Moropa shared how the role has inspired her own wedding plans.

"The role and journey of Letsatsi makes me more inspired to plan my wedding," she confessed, adding that her experience portraying a character who designs wedding dresses has sparked ideas for her own gown.
