“The Handmaid’s Tale” has definitely made its mark as one of those shows you just can’t forget.

Since it first hit our screens in 2017, it’s kept viewers hooked with its chilling look at a world where women are stripped of their rights and forced to bear children for the elite.

Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel, the series taps into some seriously unsettling themes – and it’s one of those shows that gets under your skin and makes you think, “What if this was real?”

But it’s not all doom and gloom. The drama, the tension, and the outright shocking moments make it impossible to look away.

At the heart of the series is the exploration of how a patriarchal society can oppress women. In the fictional world of Gilead, women are stripped of their rights and autonomy, reduced to their reproductive roles.

After five intense seasons, “The Handmaid’s Tale” is getting ready to call it a day with the sixth instalment and, honestly, I don’t think we’re prepared for what’s coming.

After everything that’s happened so far, the big question is: How will it all end? “The Handmaid’s Tale” is an emotional roller-coaster that keeps us guessing right until the very end.

The final season will be released on April 8, with three episodes dropping at once, followed by weekly releases until the finale on May 27. It’s going to be a wild ride to the finish line.

If you’ve been following the show, you’ll know the stakes couldn’t be higher – the red-cloaked army is ready to take down Gilead, and we’re here for it.

In a sneak peek of the final season, Elisabeth Moss (aka June) drops a powerful line: “They believed that these garments that they put on our bodies told the world who we are. To mark us, they put us in red, the colour of blood. They forgot that it’s also the colour of rage. The dress became our uniform. And we became an army.”

And if that doesn’t give you chills, I don’t know what will.

The show digs into real-world issues like power, freedom, and what happens when people are pushed too far. It’s not afraid to make you uncomfortable, but at the same time, it shows that there’s hope for change – even if it’s hard-earned.

The characters feel so real, and their struggles feel so relatable, which is why the show has become such an important part of our cultural conversation.

The final season will see the return of Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley, and Amanda Brugel.

These stars have truly brought the world of Gilead to life in a way that feels real and raw. To add some extra excitement, Bradley Whitford, Sam Jaeger and Ever Carradine are also back, while Josh Charles joins as a series regular and Timothy Simons pops in as a guest star.

We don’t know much about their characters yet but you can bet that whatever character they’re playing, it’s going to shake things up.

Will Gilead finally fall? Will June and the resistance succeed? Whatever happens, we know one thing – we’re in for one heck of a conclusion.

"Blessed be the fruit“ (the real ones know).
