Social media has been buzzing with X users identifying different “variants” of radio personality Solomzi “Sol” Phenduka. A video of a fitness instructor leading a step class who resembles the “Diqabang” hitmaker was making the rounds on X, and more lookalikes kept popping up everywhere.
The "Podcast and Chill" co-host has been trending, not because of a particularly witty tweet or his usual puns but because people kept tagging him in posts featuring himself, or at least, people who looked eerily like him.
Sol Phenduka now owns a gym and he's an instructor 🙃

It started with a few humorous tweets, like “I just spotted your twin” or “Sol Phenduka is God’s favorite template". The doppelgängers have the same body build as Phenduka, the same haircuts, and they all wear glasses, just like him.
But soon, the internet was flooded with posts showcasing his doppelgängers. From “Sol Phenduka the samurai” to “Sol Phenduka the gym instructor”, the titles are endless.

He cannot help but laugh at the absurdity of it all, also jumping in on the joke, recording videos of his lookalikes when he encounters them and sharing them on social media.

“I'm now convinced that Sol Phenduka is not a person, but a group. No one can tell me otherwise,” says X user @MKHBrian.

@PA_Punditry says, “Scientists need to study why there's too many Sol Phenduka lookalikes.” and @LifeYanga says, “You’re never more than 10km away from a Sol Phenduka lookalike in South Africa. It’s science.”
