Summer has arrived, full of activities and sporting entertainment, from Durban Heat to Sharks finale in Kaapstad ouens.
All in all, it’s going to be one cracker of a summer.
Tomorrow is die Curriebeker final, and it’s a repeat of 2017 proceedings – but with a different result, I believe.
Sharks, for some odd reason, are at a ludicrous price of 16/10, with Province sitting at an odds on price of 5/10.
Sangoma Tshabalala reckons back Du Preez’s boys to bring the trophy back to the dirtbin – and bring us a bit of joy!
Sticking to that oval ball, it is the final countdown in NRC in Australia and the NPC Mitre 10 too. I would say Fiji to crack on in Oz but, as for the New Zealand final, it’s a tough one to call, kids.
Let’s back the unlikely home team in Auckland to sneak a win past the mighty Crusaders – who have featured in nine of the last 11 domestic finals.
Then, out to Tokyo, Japan, where we have Bledisloe Cup 3 on the cards. Some dizzy Aussies reckon it is the precursor to next year’s World Cup final – you bloody wish, you bunch of puzzlers!
It should be a good game, but I see New Zealand nodding in by 10 or more points in this encounter.
Moving right along, to the people’s game, we have a full roster on the cards in the next couple of days.
In my humble opinion, if you miss a fair bit of footy this weekend, you won’t be missing much.
The games are bang average to be fair. The highlight of tomorrow’s EPL action is Leicester at home to West Ham, where they should both score goals and the home team should get this one done.
Sunday’s games have a bit more bite, but the operative word here is a ‘bit’.
They are still quite average, but the last wind-up could get rather interesting, as it’s Jose and crew at Old Trafford to Everton, who have an upset in them.
Back them at the price of just a smidgen over 4 to 1. Get stuck in kids, even if it’s a win +draw on the Toffees. It may do the trick.

Onto some local footy, with the ever so popular Soweto Derby.
This is the most average derby in the world, which in most cases ends in a draw.
Tomorrow we back the boys in black, as rumours have it that the cheese boys have issues beyond those at Old Trafford.
The plum fixture is the El Clasico on Sunday, where Barcelona – even without Messi – will be too good for Madrid.
The galacticos are looking very vanilla without Ronaldo and Zidane, and their worst days are only beginning.
Look for goals – with most of them for Suarez and Co.
Our nap bets for this weekend are Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern and All Blacks – with our value bets being Sharks, Auckland and West Ham.
Have a feast of a weekend ya’ll!
